Notes from the artist:
No 1: I painted a father and son playing Monopoly, but the father had passed out. They are poor, as seen with the bills and eviction notice on the table. The father spends all the money on drugs and alcohol. Monopoly is a game centered around having money, a situation that directly opposes that of the father and sons.
No. 2: A Stormy Horizon: My goal was to paint a landscape while also telling a story. The little boy trains with his mentor as the man on the horse arrives.  I wanted to depict the importance of hard work with the boy training, and the man on the horse depicts the reward finally arriving.
No.3: This piece depicts a person who holds immense power and control over the world yet uses this power to create chaos and destruction. This person is constantly monitoring and manipulating the actions of others in pursuit of their own selfish goals. The four screens depict the Middle East, Europe, Area 51, and the Bermuda Triangle. Along with this, the bigger pair of monitors above depict destruction in different parts of the world. I hoped to show the dangers of unchecked power and the potential for individuals to abuse their authority at the expense of others.
